From my journey – for you In the realm of silence, presence, and listening, something emerges that cannot be learned from books.
My Story — and How Turvan Tila Was Born
I have always been sensitive. Sensitive to the atmosphere around me, to other people’s emotions and to the subtle shifts in a room or a relationship. I learned to anticipate, adapt and take care of others — to do whatever I could to make sure no one felt uncomfortable, upset or disappointed.
For a long time, I thought this was one of my greatest strengths. And it is — when the nervous system feels safe. But when you spend years living in tension, constantly anticipating what might happen next, sensitivity can stop feeling like a gift. It becomes a weight, something you carry in your body — often without even realising it.
I became exhausted. Exhausted by striving, by trying to hold everything together while, underneath it all, a small alarm was constantly switched on. I felt anxious, but not enough to give myself permission to stop. I was tired, but I kept going. I wanted to cry, but somewhere along the way, I had forgotten how. My body knew so much, but I had stopped listening.
And still — somewhere within me — I knew there had to be another way. Not simply better stress management or another self-care routine, but a genuinely safer, gentler way of being: in my body, in my everyday life, and in relationship with myself.
Turvan Tila , Space of Safety— A Method Born from the Need to Breathe
Turvan Tila is more than a method. It is a gentler way of being with yourself.
I began to study, explore and listen. I immersed myself in the nervous system, sensorimotor approaches, body awareness, recovery, yoga and the therapeutic qualities of sound. But the most important learning happened beyond theory. I began to notice what actually helped, what my own body responded to and what it understood without words.
I began bringing those pieces together and asking myself: What remains when everything unnecessary is stripped away? What truly creates a sense of safety — not just in the mind, but in the body?
From these questions, Turvan Tila was born. A method that is not simply another technique or treatment, but a different way of relating to yourself and to life.
A space where you don't have to know exactly what you need. You don't have to fix yourself or perform. You simply pause, listen, and little by little, the body begins to speak.
Turvan Tila does not rush. It listens. It is built on the understanding that you are not the problem to be solved. Sometimes, you are already carrying the answer within you — you simply need enough safety and space for your nervous system to reveal it.
Turvan Tila brings together everything I have learned over the years about the nervous system, rest, recovery and what it means to be human. Not only through education and theory, but through lived experience. It draws from body awareness, sensorimotor understanding, restorative yoga, sound, touch and the power of a space where nothing is forced.
Today, the Turvan Tila concept is expanding into Turvan Polku — a training programme in nervous-system-informed relaxation guidance. The first programme begins in August 2026.
Turvan Tila Is Also a Way of Living
Today, I experience a sense of safety in my everyday life that I once could not even imagine. Not because life has become perfectly peaceful, or because I no longer experience stress, uncertainty, sadness or difficult days, but because I have learned to listen to myself, recognise the different states of my nervous system, support myself through them and create space for genuine recovery.
I am no longer afraid of stopping. I have learned to notice when my body is whispering and when it is shouting. And, perhaps most importantly, I have created a life in which I no longer need to be constantly on guard.
Turvan Tila is not just about moments on a yoga mat, singing bowls or individual relaxation practices. It is a way of moving through life without constantly holding your breath. A way of coming home to yourself. A way of allowing the body to become a place you can trust again.
The Work of My Heart
I know what it feels like to be exhausted, to live with pain and to feel lost from yourself. I know what it is like when the body is trying to tell you something, but you don't yet know how to listen. That is why this work is so deeply personal to me.
I don't teach from a place of having everything figured out. I share what I have learned by living it. And I do this work with great gentleness, because I believe that coming back to yourself should not require more pushing, more striving or more fixing.
Sometimes, what we need is simply a safe enough space to stop, breathe, listen and feel — and to slowly find our way back to the body, to rest, and to the sense of safety that has been within us all along.
My philosophy of life
When a person is well in both body and mind, they radiate positive energy to those around them. Conversely, when someone is unwell, they are not the only ones to suffer. I believe that our state of being always ripples out to our immediate surroundings and, ultimately, to the wider world.
Nervous system work requires a safe space—the holding and support of another person. That is why I am here: to walk alongside you on your unique path toward safety and peace.
I am an eternal idealist, dreaming that through my work for individual well-being, I can spread love, peace, and positive energy far and wide. After all, when a person is rested and healthy, they can take responsibility for themselves and then find the energy to help others, too.
That is why each of us matters—in all our perfectly imperfect glory.
