The popular chaff pillow is not just any pillow, but a natural, customizable, long-lasting, breathable, ecologically sustainable pillow - and a real help for both muscle and skin problems. This relief for shoulder pain and help for neck problems has already found its way into the homes of hundreds of satisfied customers!

The chaff pillow molds itself to your exact size and provides good support for the shoulder and neck area. It is filled with firm and breathable buckwheat chaff. As an airy material, it gives you the opportunity to sleep deeply and breathe freely all night long. Without a pillow that gets wet from sweat.

The buckwheat husk pillow holds its shape well and supports both the head and neck while sleeping. The pillow's light weight may take a couple of nights to get used to, but thanks to its good shapeability, the pillow's fluffing during the night is significantly reduced. The chaff pillow improves with use as the chaff polishes and grinds during the first weeks of use.

The lifespan of the chaff filling is 4-6 years, after which I recommend replacing the chaff with new ones.

Buckwheat husk is hypoallergenic, meaning it is not a suitable breeding ground for bacteria, fungi or dust mites. Since husks do not store heat or cold, the filling is airy and cool. Due to its airiness, a husk pillow can also help with skin problems in the head area, such as dry scalp and acne. Buckwheat husk is also a completely vegan product.

JAATU pillows have a zipper that makes it easy to change the filling. The old filling can be disposed of in the compost, used as a cover for, for example, vegetable soil or green plants, and the pillow can be filled with new chaff.

Cover:

European hemp fabric or gray cotton fabric, surplus from the textile industry

The color of the zipper may vary.

Filling:

The husk or husk of European buckwheat grown without pesticides or herbicides

Size:

approximately 50 x 60 cm, size may vary slightly (+-2 cm), weight 1.6 - 2 kg depending on the volume of the chaff batch

Note!

Because the pillow is made from leftover pieces from other sewing, the size of the pillow may vary slightly.

Care and washing:

The chaff pillow is refreshed by airing it in frosty or sunny weather. The chaff, which has been flattened during use, curls back into its bowl-like shape in the hot sunshine. You can extend the washing interval by using a separate protective bag or another pillowcase under the actual pillowcase.

Washing a chaff pillow: Empty the pillow before washing. I recommend emptying the chaff into a paper bag instead of plastic because of the electrical conductivity. Close the pillow's zipper carefully, wash inside out. It doesn't matter if some loose chaff remains inside the cloth. They will dry with the fabric after washing. The hemp cover is washed at 40-60 degrees with similar colors. Do not tumble dry. Iron with three points.
